It's theeeee great big book of everything, with everything inside!

If you have any kids who are a little older then you might remember the show Stanley that used to play on Playhouse Disney. You know? This Guy...

Yes, and he always talked to his pet fish. Well, I have the show on DVD and my nephews have started to really enjoy watching it. So what's the next step in the Stanley world?

We ended up buying them a great big book of everything and they absolutely adore it. I truely have never seen them so eager to learn.

If you have never seen the show then I'll give you a little background information.
Stanley was a show on Disney about a boy who would face the everyday problems of a kid but he would learn lessons by jumping into the great big book of everything and learning about a different animal.  The great big book of everything had information about every animal imaginable.  The boys were so excited to get a copy of their own and learn about all the different animals.  It truely was a great investment! You can buy both Stanley DVDs and The Great Big Book of Everything from both Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.  I promise that your kids will love it :))

It's a Meaningful Life!

One thing that my nephews have definately become big fans of is VeggieTales.
Literally everytime they hear the theme song start they rush into the living room.
I assume most of you have heard of VeggieTales, but if not, here's a little background information.
They are basically, episodes about talking vegetables answering a child's problem.
They are always fun and unique and I don't even mind watching it with them because it's so entertaining.
VeggieTales does teach about God and not only that but it teaches great morals in a fun way to your child.
They absolutely adored the latest one that came out:
It's called It's a Meaningful life, and is a fantastic cross between It's a Wonderful Life and the Polar Express.
Needless to say it definately got us into a Chrismas-y mood. (Even though it is only October.) And it teaches your children a lesson Being Content.

Here are a couple more titles your kids may love:

The First one is Sweetpea Beauty and is great for your little princess :) This is a lesson about true beauty.
The second one is Pistachio and is agreat story as well. It's a lesson on listening to your parents.

My nephews from age 2 to 7 all love these fantastic shows. You never have to worry about what they're watching if you pop in one of these DVDs.

Autum fun :)

So, we have a 4 day weekend coming up and we're taking the boys to a farm in our area.
They are so excited for it! They have hayrides, a pumpkin patch, a corn maze and a petting zoo.
Definately going to be a fun trip :))

The crew!

I have 3 nephews and a niece.
They all have completely different perosnalities.
The oldest is Jake he's 7

The one next to him in the baseball uniform is the next oldest Blain, he's 5 :)

Then you have the youngest boy, Gage. He's 2 and rather violent. But he's a cutie so he gets away with it.

Then... We have the little baby, and the only girl of the family, Taylor. She's only 2 months old right now.
And... That's the gang for you!

What's this about?

Well, I'm here to give you fun tips and things to do with your children.
But... With a twist. This is from an Aunt's perspective.
When I watch my nephews and niece we go on all kinds of adventures.
So, I'm here to try to give you some insight on things your kids might enjoy :)
Hope this can give you some ideas for fun things to do with your kids!
